What approval does

One code, one machine, one workspace.

  • Connects the app on that machine to this workspace so it can store backups and fetch restore plans
  • The app still signs in to Microsoft 365 as you; the portal never receives a Microsoft credential
  • Hosted backups are encrypted on the machine before they are uploaded
  • Approve only if the code and the machine name match the app in front of you
A code is valid for ten minutes. An owner can revoke a connected app in Settings.
